As Water In KRS Dam Reach Full Height, Relief For Karnataka Farmers
Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will perform the traditional puja at the Krishnarajasagara or KRS Dam on the Cauvery river on Saturday. The dam has reached its full height of 124.8 feet, which means there is a great sense of relief with sufficient water for farmers in Karnataka who downed upon irrigation from KRS. This also brings hope for farmers in downstream Tamil Nadu. The release of water is also a spectacular sight - and this year there is special lighting too.
