Brands: Martine Rose, Napapijri
Season: FW18
Key Pieces: Floral outerwear fleeces, oversized reversible puffer jackets and corduroy parkas are tough
Editor's Notes: Following Martine Rose's SS19 fashion presentation last month, the London-based designer whose self-titled imprint has become a favorite in menswear design since 2007, now unveils her FW18 offerings in conjunction with Italy's Napapijri.
The two also worked on an SS18 line, and this particular range encompasses more outerwear, like oversized reversible puffer jackets and corduroy parkas, while patterned knitted sweaters, printed T-shirts, jacquard floral fleeces, and jeans are other notable highlights.
Overall, the aesthetic of the collection infuses a range of inspirations, varying from English rock band The Stone Roses, to the way people living in the Arctic Circle blend traditional pieces with technical clothing. Furthermore, the color palette takes cues from Soviet and Eastern European interiors, with the textures utilized throughout developed from archival Napapijri items.
